I always speak about the importance of having a compelling vision for your company and driving that point home on a regular basis. I cannot speak enough about the importance of having a vision that makes people want to be a part of what you’re doing, appreciate why you exist and admire your company.
You may get sick of me talking about it and your employees may get tired of hearing about your company’s vision, but that’s entirely the point. Your vision should be something that your employees know by heart and live and breathe in their everyday work lives. Make sure that your company’s vision is something that everyone is drawn to and agrees with. You want your herd to all be working together, toward a common goal.
Having a common goal and vision will help you continually attract the right people and repel the wrong ones. Your vision is your company’s magnet – use that to your advantage and always make sure that it is at the forefront of everything you do. The right company values and culture will go a long way if you are doing it right!
