Take Responsibility For Your Herd

As a leader, it’s your responsibility to establish your vision, values and expectations for your organization. I have always said that you have the herd you deserve, whether it be good or bad, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t change it.

Ask yourself, what are your expectations, and do you expect things to get better? Ideally, your expectations should be set really high, and as a leader you need to be very intentional about reinforcing those three main pillars – vision, values and expectation. Until I start seeing eye rolls from my herd, around our vision, I’ll keep talking about it.

We as leaders are responsible for where our organization goes, and a part of that is taking responsibility for any failures. To set your herd up for success, it’s important that they know where your organization is going, what their role in the organization is and how they can impact the organization’s vision. If you set your team up for success, your herd will flourish and grow.

Lead Boldy. Succeed Brilliantly.

Leadership is not just a role. It’s continuous journey of growth and impact.
