We All Make Mistakes

We are all human and we all mistakes. Of course everybody knows that, but when mistakes are made, it’s hard to keep that in the forefront of your mind. Your team will respect you for how demanding you are, not for how demeaning you are. You can be demanding without being demeaning. 

Humans make mistakes so it’s important that you set your expectations in a way that says it’s not a failure if you don’t meet them. You need to focus on the strengths of your herd and play to that, not highlight their weaknesses. 

Find your “model citizens” within your herd and figure out how you are best using their strengths so that you can “clone them” throughout your herd. Highlight strengths, make your expectations known and always remember that mistakes will be made, it’s just important that you grow and learn from them.
