Why is the employee experience is important?
· Happy employees and productive employees, and productive employees improve your ROI. When you employees are engaged, they work harder to reach the goals you’ve set forth.
· Positive employee experiences can dramatically impact employee retention rates. Happy employees care more about their experiences at work than getting a pay increase.
· Employees who are treated well also become your brand advocates, which make your customers happier since they receive better customer service.
There’s probably better way to learn about employee experience best practices than from companies who land on the “best companies to work for” list on a regular basis.
They offer flexibility – Successful companies understand that their employees are different, some are extroverts and some are introverts. They provide their employees with an environment where they can do their best work and be the most productive. They can work from anywhere they like; use open space, go to a meeting room or work from the kitchen. Employees have a choice.
They care about what their people think – Employee are asked for feedback so that employers can continuously improve their HR processes. Maybe they have their HR team participate in the recruitment processes with their competitors just to find out what they need to improve. Now, this is a real commitment to excellence!!
They recruit individuals who share their passion- A company’s shouldn’t be written on the wall; they should be exhibited in people’s behavior. Companies with positive employee experience spend a lot of time recruiting people who truly understand and share their values.
They reward their employees on a regular basis-Companies will high employee retention rates offer rewards for a job well done, and not only at the holidays. Employees are the backbone of every successful brand, so without proper recognition, what incentive is there to stay?
Optimal employee experience isn’t about state-of-the-art office spaces, gigantic salaries or unlimited vacation. It’s about how being in the workplace makes your employees feel!
