Hiring the Right Person for the Right Seat

hiring

Over the course of my career, I’ve found the art of hiring is not as easy as it seems – sometimes it can even be daunting. What are the right qualities for this job? How important are each one of them? Should we wait to see if someone more qualified comes along?

At the end of the day, the most important part of hiring is finding the right person for the right seat. To ensure that occurs, I ask myself three simple questions:

Will this person embrace our culture?

Does this person have a “Ring the Bell” mindset?

Are they willing to learn?

If you answer “yes” to all three of these questions, you’re on the right track. Businesses, systems and procedures can all be taught. But, culture, mindset and willingness to learn are much more difficult to find – these qualities come from within.

To learn more about the “Ring the Bell” mindset and get access to a tool that has helped businesses all over the country answer these questions and more, sign up for a personalized survey or demo right here on the Assess Your Herd page.
